I have a windows vista home premium installed on an hp pavilion entertainment dv6700 when i change the resolution to high it works but when is restarts or shuts down the resolution goes back to low ,,what can i do about it??

have you installed any programs like deep freeze lately? these programs rollbacks any changes made by the user to the time when it was frozen. also check if your video driver is properly installed.
