I accidentally reduced my screen resolution and now the 'Display' window is too big and I can't change it back

I need help! The window is so big that the Apply and OK settings at the bottom of the window are below the bottom of the screen, and those kind of windows won't let me scroll down, so I can't change it back. How can I either change my screen resolution back, or get to the bottom of the Settings tab in Display and do it myself?? Thanks!I accidentally reduced my screen resolution and now the 'Display' window is too big and I can't change it back
It is possible to start in safe mode with some operating systems and you can adjust from there. Alternatively, go to device manager and delete the video card driver. Either scan for new hardware or restart the computer and hopefully Windows will automatically install the driver again and set the display to it's optimum resolution.

Good luckI accidentally reduced my screen resolution and now the 'Display' window is too big and I can't change it back
Hi

just select the correct resolution then press enter assuming that the active button is OK.

if this doesn't work just press tab to go t the next button then press enter.

keep doing this till you press the OK or apply button by just through pressing ENTER as it is the same as clicking the mouse.

Thanks.
Double-click in a blank area of the Title bar at the top of the screen and the window should fit to your screen. If you cannot see the Title bar, click the Windows button on your keyboard and it will bring up the Task bar and you will be able to get to the Control panel from the Start button.
try pointing your cursor at the top edge of the window and hold down the left button. You should then be able to move the window around and hopefully high enough to see the bottom
r/click on empty part of desktop, should be settings there to alter display, what o.s by the way!
Press alt+a to select apply
try F11 then scroll down to bottom right. it should say 100%
hi david, yes its hard to change the resolution back to its original setting when the display is too large, however try using the display icon in your taskbar

both nvidia and ati use task bar icons as quick access to there control functions, just right click the specific icon and select resolution and then choose either 800x600 or 1024x768,these are the best resolutions to use for average monitors

alternatively you can restart your p.c and gently tap f8 to enter safe mode, using safe mode no drivers are installed and you should be able to reset your original resolution in there

however if your display drivers were correctly installed just restart the p.c as per normal, when windows starts up it will recognize that the display is too low and issue you a message that the display is too low and do you want to change it to the default resolution(1024x768 for 17'; displays and 1280x1024 for 19'; displays),just choose yes and the display will return back to its correct setting

any problems let me know

good luck david!
