Screen resolution changes at start up?

It's fine until I run a program that changes the screen resolution like a game, it changes back to normal when I exit the game, it's just at the next start up it changes to the resolution the game was in. Pretty sure I have the latest drivers. It's been doing this from the first day I got this computer. Any ideas how to fix it?Screen resolution changes at start up?

Type msconfig in run

Click the BOOT.INI tab

Make sure BASEVIDEO is unchecked



If it happens with one particular game, check for a game patch at the game support websiteScreen resolution changes at start up?
uninstall the display driver and reinstall the latest ones. Then in the control panel of your gfx card find set resolution and set it to the max for your monitor.
