i have a dell inspiron laptop and i want to change the screen size on a windows vista. not by right click your desktop and going to properties to change your resolution but the actual size of the screen but shrinking the screen like what you can do with the old school monitors how do i do it?How do i change the screen size on my laptop?

It cannot be done. The pixels on a laptop are individual physical objects built into the screen. There is no way to change their size. Why do you want to change the screen size exactly? Whatever it is you want to do, there is likely a better way to do it. For example, if the font size is too small, you can make it bigger.
buy a laptop with the same size hard drive and same os, and swap the two hard drives. This may seem expensive, and it will probably void your warranty, but you can sell the old laptop to make up for some of the money.
