Does someone know how to change the resolution on the computer screen?

i just bought a new computer and im having a hard time with it. i cant use alot of my programs or use yahoo beta and ect because of the resolution of the screen which is right now on 1024x768. i really dont get it why its giving me a hard time. i assume because its new it should be capable and ready.Does someone know how to change the resolution on the computer screen?

Right click on the screen and click Settings...on top right



You'll see an image of how your screen looks



Drag the slider to the resolution you want .....you may also want to increase the color quality to 32 bit on the right...then click Apply...The computer changes the settings and then asks you if you want to keep those.. click OK and you're done.Does someone know how to change the resolution on the computer screen?
