I was wondering how i can get a higher screen resolution to change to?

8.04 Linux... i cant go any higher then 800 x 600 is there anyway that i can get the higher resolutionsI was wondering how i can get a higher screen resolution to change to?
Generally, you can't get a higher resolution than the monitor and/or video board can support. If you want better resolution, you're going to have to get better hardware.

Do you have the display driver installed and properly running. If your video card is capable it should allow for it. Good luck.
